Filipino Boxing

I'd go with the late Ted Lucaylucay since his father Lucky pretty much introduced a complete system of Filipino boxing to the west coast as applied to the Filipino Martial Arts, and seems to be the only documented source. You will see bits and pieces in clips with Johnny LaCoste and others who came through Hawaii, but nothing with a teaching structure like Ted's. You may also look into Marc Denny's Dog Brothers as they have explored the art for adaptaion in their system and Ron Balicki has a series on DVD. However you don't get far from the source with Guro Ted. For a historical look into Filipino boxers and how the art migrated to America, look for "The Great Pinoy Boxing Era" a DVD online by Corky Pasquil. Good luck in your search. The proper spelling would be "panantukan" as used in the Lucaylucay and Inosanto blend systems.
