Knife law in Portugal

Disclaimer: I have no idea what the actual letter of the law says and, like other European countries, things have become tighter and more restrictive since I lived there.
In my experience, if you stick to traditional-looking knives like Opinel and MAM (a Portuguese knife manufacturer) or SAKs (93mm or smaller preferably), you should not encounter any issues, unless you're causing problems. If going around Lisbon or Porto, SAKs are the absolutely safest bet because it is immediately recognized as a utilitarian tool rather than what "someone up to no good" would carry.
