That one is stunning! This thread is making me drool, and wish I'd finished college :) (for the extra income I might have to buy stuff like this)

Correct A.C. It's Mammoth.

I got this sword/dagger from JD in Nov. 2004. The blade is made from 1084 & 15N20 and features the "Turkish Ribbon" pattern. NO power tools were used in the forging OR the finishing of this blade!! It has a fully fileworked perimeter on the mortised tang hilt w/ all damascus fittings, Mammoth scales.

I had Coop photograph it about 4 years ago, he did a super job.

Jim,

I have never been a big fan of long daggers/swords, more a Bowie/Fighter man myself, but have to say I could become one after seeing that. Awesome looking and awesome work!!

Thanks for looking!

Just finshed this one up. Not near as fancy as some of the other beauties posted....just a simple, big knife.

Blade is 13 1/4" tip to scales, handle is 7 3/8" cocobolo. Copper pins and tube.

I think you might see why I'd find that one appealing.... ;)

Thanks, Romano

There are some really beautiful and desirable knives in this thread - I am a sucker for a beautiful, massive clip point with a nice swedge and hollow ground blade - add in the mirror polish and the spalted Elder burl and this one just trips it for me.

Thanks for a great thread - now I know I love impossibly large fixed blades.

Lots of beautiful work here!

I know I've been putting these up several places lately, but I reckon they fit the criteria for the thread. My Zombie Outbreak Response Blades:

All are over 12" long blades. And someone who has already posted in this thread wants an even longer version. :D

Wow, incredible collection, that Toby Crocker has some seriously nice file work on it, but that Muller sub hilt is awesome, I love when they contour the entire spot for the index finger that way, gotta be a pain in the arse to do that.
