What I'm wondering is what maker you would suggest contacting about creating a nice clean Loveless style drop point for under $400. If that wasn't hard enough, I am very fickle about my likes and dislikes and have a few features to keep in mind.

Ideally these are the things I would like and like to avoid:
1) no super Gawdy makers mark - something simple is fine, I just personally don't like a huge mark etched over a 1/4 of the blade.
2)the guard must be soldered.
3)no elaborate file work, I like clean and simple.
4)I would like it to use corby bolts, not Loveless style bolts.
5)mirror finish blade of a quality modern stainless.
6)tapered tang.
7)micarta or g10 handle scales.
8)quality leather sheath

So who would you suggest?

double gun double gun TK Steingass. Comes in well under $400 for the micarta handled version and probably one of the best Loveless style DPH makers in the game. He's a member here check out some of his work.

Your requirements sound very much like this Steingass:

Green linen micarta.
CPM-154 mirrored.
Pinned and immaculately soldered stainless guard.
Corby bolts.
Rounded edges, no file work.
Tapered tang.
Etc.

Also, maker is on BF and is a real class act. http://steingassknives.com/

If he's booked up, Larryz10, another member here, makes great knives in this style.

That's beautiful. Thanks for posting! Are the guard pins at all visible in certain light or at certain angles?

Have you guys ever heard of James Sponaugle? I stumbled across some pictures of his version that looked very clean aswell, my only dislike was the size of his makers mark.
