i bought a custom left handed LTC kukri sheath thigh rig from Robert. the quality is top notch. here are some detailed pictures.
as you would expect the nylon is very dense and heavy grade.
here's a picture of the great lines and rivet work.
here's a close up of the hilt and handle captured by the sheath.
here's the handle snap strap and the detachable drop leg belt loop.
the backside of the thigh rig
this is the belt loop adjustment for the detachable drop leg rig.
this is the velcro adjustment (which is restrained by a snap strap) for the strap that attaches to the belt loop. very well thought out. this can obviously be used as a belt loop by itself if you wish to have just a belt loop sheath.
snap strap that restrains the above adjustment.
the mid strap is free floating and fully adjustable or removable.
as you can see here the bottom strap is also free floating, it's not rigid. this should help with comfort. it can also be totally removed if your legs aren't that long or if you want just a belt strung machete.
i wanted something top notch and custom. it was well worth the wait. the design is very well thought out and it's modular to boot which is important in this age where a lot of emphasis is put on ergonomics.
