Recon stone?

Forgive me if this has been asked I looked and couldn't find it.

Are you guys a fan of Recon stone? Looks like it would be neat at least for spacers or something. How easy is it to shape and how durable is it? Is it pretty brittle?

Not a fan. It is brittle, and nothing more than plastic with stone dust and dyes. Works fairly easily, though.

2nd on Stacy's assesment. Used it a few times many years ago. They all cracked eventually. I wouldn't use it on a knife. However I did use left over pieces as spacers on bottle openers and that worked pretty cool. Big difference between a bottle opener sitting on the bar in the cantina and a knife getting used for a living though.
