Replacing perforated washers with the old school slid washers?

    I believe you are supposed to reassemble the knife with sufficient grease so the washer's holes are filled, thus you won't get water in the perforations. The washer/pivot/grease assembly is designed not only for smooth operation but to prevent corrosion.
