  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

The Puukko

I've shown these before, but they belong in this thread as well.

Can you tell me the brand/maker of this fine blade? Thanks

That knife was made by Pekka Tuominen, one of Finland's seven mastersmiths. He is also the one who designed the Spyderco puukko.

Another fantastic puuko thread!

Robin - I really dig your work, esp. that mammoth/walrus leuku! But those simple little carving puukkos in dark maple are a joy to look at as well. There is a beautiful simplicity to them that speaks to what I find so attractive about Finnish knives.

Kris - Another stunning example, as I've come to expect! Just when I think I've seen most of your collection at one time or another, you pull out a gorgeous suprise like that.

My puukkos are nothing exotic, just fairly pedestrian users, but when I get a chance, I'll post a few pics. In the meantime, let's keep this going!
