Thnx for the replies on waxed/non-waxed
(waxed it will be)

What kind of thickness do you guys prefer and how is it measured?
I have found non-waxed that I like called 20/3 and 30/3 the latter being thinner.
But I can't find any waxed thread in that measurement.

Here is my latest leatherwork for a little front pocket three finger knife. (knife by me as well)
I don't like the way the stitching came out. I think the thread is waaay to thick for what it is supposed to be.
It has a pocket clip on the back

For hand stitching I use 1mm Tiger thread. Tiger thread is available in several other sizes. Check ebay for the sizes and colors.

A thread groover Tool might help. It's the little tool that cuts a channel out where the sticthing goes and makes the stitching lay flat and even with the leather. Or maybe play around with the distance between the stitches them selves. If that doesn't do what you want than try to find a couple of different thread sizes and experiment.
