where to buy paracord?

I get mine from the Cabelas close to me and they have it on their website too. I got 100ft for $7, there's probably some cheaper places but 100 ft is enough for me and it's convenient.

I buy it at the local Army/Navy store for $8.97 a hank. I figure I could pay $7 a hank online, but I'd also have to pay shipping.

It's too bad that many Army/Navy stores have gone out of business. There's only one in town and the selection is pretty slim. Check your yellow pages.

If you strike out, see http://www.twowolvesoutdoor.com/. I just received some from them in the mail today.

I usually get it from countycomm, but since the S&H can be a little much, it's best to pick up a few different items as well. Lots of interesting stuff.

one stop knife shop has bladeforums.com hats! haha
i think i'll purchase there.
thanks everyone.

My first purchase of paracord was a 300 feet spool from ebay. It was great. I've started to just buy 50 feet hanks of it from Paragon Sporting Goods here in NYC. 50 feet for 2-3 dollars. They have black and white cord, the black being 550 and the white not 550. They sell it on their site too and offer free shipping if you order like 50 dollars worth of stuff. 50 dollars in paracord anyone?

I get mine from Supply Captain. Good stuff, decent selection of colors, and one of the cheapest sources I've found, too. Super fast shipping.

:thumbup:They have 8 strand cord and a bunch of other neat stuff. Their misch metal/ferro rods are FLAMETHROWERS compared to other fire steels and I believe its free shipping.--KV
