Wrong way Kabar emblem on 1184

I am looking at a Kabar 1184 that has the Kabar emblem upside down when compared to most other 1184's I've ever seen. I.e.: it reads correctly from the open side of the handle rather than the spring side of the handle. Is this a factory mistake - somebody messed up when they stuck it on? Or were some examples made this way intentionally? Or is this a rebuild maybe? Or worst of all. . . a fake? Picture credit goes to the ebay seller, not my pic!
