Yea i hate that too, haven't had that problem since i started using my press for makers stamp.
 
Yeah. I don't have a press yet but I find that using a big c-clamp works well enough. Not great for any sort of volume and damned awkward...but gives a good result until I get a press which is who knows when.
 
Unless they are into Zombified Minions of my arch Enemy - I hate them too.
