Just finished this one up last night- a little sharpen and final tuneup and it’s shipping to its new owner tomorrow.

52100 blade forged from a rock crusher roller bearing, desert ironwood burl handle, stainless pin.

Blade is 9” long, and 2-3/16” wide at the heel. Thickness is about .095” spine at heel, .007” uniform edge before sharpening. Balance is right between the bolster and right side edge of the mark. Weight is approximately 9 oz.

The spine is fully rounded for comfort, as is the heel.

I really like ironwood. I REALLY like to make a simple working integral chef and then dress it in ironwood. I gotta do more of these.

Anyway, here’s pics to check out. Not Coop quality, as my good camera was stolen right before my laptop crashed, not to mention that I can’t take photos like Coop anyway…

For those who have a knife on order, yours is now this much closer to being done.

Very nice Salem. I sure hope you had either a power hammer or press to do the initial "squash".

This doesn't need my photo quality to see your knifemaking quality.

Abundantly clear. Good luck!

I sure wish it was in the mail to me!

That is a real looker, and I can't think of a better use of knife funds than custom kitchen knives that get used more than any other knives.
