“Toe-cutter”, named after that illustrious character from the original ‘Mad Max’ movie.

I felt that was an appropriate reference for my last knife of 2020. ;)

The 8-3/4” blade is made of .280” thick Crucible CPM-4v, aged and etched using my buddy Rick Marchand's chemical method.

The knife is massive and stupid. 23-1/8 ounces :D

The handle consists of a Terotuf core, covered in scrunchy gnarly shark skin, then wrapped in forest green tsukaito, and soaked in resin for resilience. The 'not-a-guard' is a drab, olive green @richlite paper micarta, left with its milled finish on the front.

Point of balance is 2 inches in front of the handle.

The blade is complemented by a perfectly matched sheath by my wife.

Quite possibly the dumbest implement for the apocalypse. This one will leave a mark, regardless of what part of it that you hit with. :p

Killer photos courtesy of SharpByCoop SharpByCoop of course.

Thanks for looking.

Thansk, everyone! This one was a lot of fun.

I usually don’t go for the post apocalyptic vibe but you pulled it off with a touch of class.
This thing screams I’m here for the mayhem!

That’s me, buddy. A hobo in a sport coat. :D

What a FUN project. I loved it. Mad Max FTW!

Tell us: HOW did Jill replicate that 'forged' finish? Very suitable.

Thanks, my friend. Couldn’t tell you how she did it - I’m smart enough to stay in MY shop. ;)

You are so F’ing good anymore

I’m glad i knew you when you weren’t :)

the dogs say hi

Thanks, buddy, but I still suck at this - having fun, though, and that’s what matters.
