Thank you for getting back to me. That part I get, though! I love the clean look with the internal screw.

What I'm asking is whether there's a cutout in the inlay that keeps the pocket clip in place so it can't move if the screw loosens up a bit, or if it sits on top of the inlay with only the screw holding it in place?

Well, it’s either 1 of two things - either they have 2 screws and it’s sits on top, or it’s a single screw with a pocket milled into the scale so the clip won’t twist. Does it matter which?

The real question is, if you don’t like the pocket clip and want to remove it, is there anything left to keep the scale secure or does it flap loose, without the pocket clip to sandwich it in place?

I don't think those are the only two possibilities. It could be one screw and sitting on top of the inlay, which is asking for problems down the line.

I love the clip, and the whole design of the knife.
