Hey everyone, wanted to have a thread about these. I have been producing these for years, and have stepped up quantities so I wanted to post them up.

These are my machined aluminum matchsafe and machined (NOT CAST) aluminum ferro rod handle, the B.U.S.H. Steel, Bushcraft Utility Survival Hollow-handle. I will post some pics and let me know if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer. Thank you!

Here are the satin models:

And here they are with OD and black GunKote finish:

Twoody Twoody Thanks, bud! Great pics, and I love to see them getting used! Going to be offering more of the Hi Viz Orange this year. Thank you for the compliments and trusting my gear on your trips.
One day I'll give one of those sharp thingys you make a go too :).. not to pump your sails too much but the little burlap sacks have all found use in my kit also :)

Nice.

What are your thoughts about a version of the ferro rod handle where the rod can be reversed and stored in the handle, like a big version of the Exotac Nanostrike? I can imagine a market as it would help preserve the rod from corrosion, protect from breaking (rod/handle junction) in transport, carry more compactly, and encourage purchase of a separate dedicated tinder tube ;)

Twoody Twoody I appreciate it, bud. When the time is right, it will happen.😎

Looking forward to it, and thank you!😎🤙🤙

C_Claycomb C_Claycomb I don't have any plans to make any big changes to these models anytime soon, it's a lot more work than it sounds like.

That being said, if you loosen the set screw on the body, you can easily push the ferro rod back into the body, where most of it is covered, and then re-tighten the set screw. I appreciate the feedback.😎👊

Thank you! I am out of stock on the Hi Viz currently. I will be producing more starting in 2023, the orange is a bit extra work though. 😎👍

Sam Wilson:
I would be interested in both items in hi-viz but don’t see them for sale on your site.
Very nicely done.

My pleasure.😎😎 I believe 5col Survival has the orange matchsafes in stock currently, they are one of our authorized dealers.👍

Spray that thing with orange marking paint.. It's a tool 🤘... or a neon lanyard for those more sophisticated tastes
