Mine arrived over the weekend. They have the same product numbers as the previous SK5 model. The boxes are slightly different as it appears Cold Steel is shipping them in the sheath now. (smart move CS) This one has a perfect edge just like my O-1 Trail Master. It also has the newer kray-ex grip. Here are a few pics: (Sorry, crappy Iphone pics)

Just got mine! I'm super pleased with it. I'm really impressed with the edge grind. It's very even and very sharp, which I couldn't say for the Recon 1 and American Lawman that I used to have. Those both required a lot of work to make the grinds not-hideous. It has a very solid feel, but it doesn't feel as heavy as I would have expected for such a thick blade stock. I can't wait to bring it down to my parents' house later this week to try some chopping and batoning. The sheath is very nice, although I might drill a drain hole at the bottom. Does anyone know if the guard on this new model is made of brass or steel?

That's going to create confusion. Knife vendors are notorious for wrong descriptions already, which they just paste in from Cold Steel. Some will have old description for the new knives, some will have new steel listed for the old ones, etc.

Hey CS Mod....Having a RS and a TM both in SM3 and convexed....any chance of seeing the regular editions of these knives coming out convexed edge? convexed edges are so much more easy to maintain and they chop way better than any v grind I've ever come across.
