Hi guys! Really love BF, but i'm not often posting something - my language skills are weak :p
However, this time i want to post smthng. Recently i've got my hands on ZT 0100. Oh, CMP 3v, you know, it's a magic. That's why i bought it - brand new, unopened and unused.

But... is it normal? Just look at the pics - does someone have the same problem? Seems like cutting edge has normally sharpened at the, hmm, factory (i suppose it's the right word).

But in fact cutting edge begins almost in 1\2 inches from the place where it must begins! I'm really bad in english but i hope i wrote all, ehh, not bad ;)

Sorry, guys, for crap pics - i've made it in a late night and the only place for a good enough photo - is a table of my wife :)

That's actually how it's normally sharpened. It's present in some other knives, and I understand that it's a result of the way the end of the grind widens out to the tang, as you'll notice how it has to widen out the the finger choil area. If you check out some pictures of other 0100 models, you'll see it's just part of the design:

As Stick said just the way they are. I would love to pick one of these up in the near future.

I pesonaly like the heffalump... er elephant in the upper right corner of the first pic.!

Guys, thanks for answers and glad to hear you liked my candles, elephant and stuff :)
One more question - does anyone tried to sharp that part of the edge?

I wouldn't. You'll likely end up digging a trench into the steel that kills the visual flow of the grind. Also...removing that much 3V steel? Good luck... :what:
