0350, 0560 or EX-01?

The Millie is by far my favorite GOAT production folder. EDC one since 2008. Sold my 0300, Horseman, Longhorn Ebano, small Lum Chinese Glass Fiber and clip-less Mcusta because they were collecting dust. Am waiting on my first 400 USD+ knife, the first run Midtech Kwaiback. Am doubting about an 0350, 0560 or EX-01 3.5 Drop for a long long time... Wanted to set up a poll, but could only pick "the number of options" (no lines to state something?)

If recommending something else: has to be tip-DOWN, no back-lock, no hollow grind.

Thank you so much guys.

What didn't you like about the 0300?

I went with the 0350 since I hate metallic handles. That's not a concern for some people, so depending on your dislikes of the 0300, some of them could translate to the 0350 as well.

Thanks!
What didn't you like about the 0300?
The weight and the speed-safe assist. I would de-assist the 0350 and look for a pimper who could skeletonize the liners to shave off some weight. (Although I already experienced that the latter is pretty hard to find.)

The 0560 is certainly a nice knife. If you like the size of the 0350, you might also check out the 0566. It shares some design similarities with the 0560 but is closer in size (namely length) to the 0350. I've read that it can be de-assisted as well, although I haven't tried that with mine.

Another recommendation for the 0566. Feels great in the hand. the 0560 really is a beast of a knife if you've never gotten your hands on one. Just too big and bulky for my preferences. IMO, the 0566 is a great scale-down of the 0560, but I've never played with one de-assisted; only read about it.

I would recommend the 801, but it is tip up only. I think the 350 is hollow ground, though. If you are eying the 350, the 200 would be right up your alley.

Personally, I would go for the Hogue EX-01. Very smooth, pocket friendly, I prefer the button lock to liner or frame locks and, while the clip has gotten a lot of hate for it's aesthetics, it functions very, very well.

Thank you so much guys!

- I am not interested in the 0566;
- believe you me that I wish I could carry tip-up;
- the 0350 is not hollow ground, it is flat ground;
- referring to the 0560 being "too big": don't forget I'm EDC'ing a Spyderco Military since 2008, although I have to admit that one of the reasons I think the Millie is the GOAT production folder, is because it is so freaking light and slim.

Personal pros and cons:

0350 pros: 3mm thin wide flat ground blade, probably the best slicer of the three; awesome looks; fun flipping (de-assisted).
0350 cons: too small, too heavy.

0560 pros: large blade; open pillar construction; great looks; fun flipping.
0560 cons: probably worst geometry/cutter/slicer of the three; perhaps bulky?

EX-01 pros: perfect size perhaps; something really different from what I'm used to.
EX-01 cons: doubt if I like the button-lock; probably worst edge retention of the three; hate the extra safety lock, as feature but also esthetically; find Gmascus the ugliest handle material ever.

I have an EX-01 4" and the edge retention of its 154cm has been better than the S30v of the 0350 I used to own. Neither saw/have seen much use, but I really like the Hogue button lock. Of the ones you've listed, I would go with the EX-01.

Hogue makes a good product. I also like the button lock. My vote goes to any of the EX-0 line.

I have all 3 and if I had to choose only 1 is gonna be the EX-01. The button lock is probably my favorite lock and it's self adjusting so you will never end up with lock rock. I do agree that the Gmascus isnt very appealing so I went with the black aluminum. Hogue managed to make it one of the smoothest knives I own and that includes the IKBS in the 0560. I also find their 154cm to extremely well done with the heat treat.

Thanks guys! Here are the pics: :)

Looks like a nice knife, but that pocket clip looks like it'd rub my hand raw after awhile.
