I tried to do something different, other than the Anso type grinds, with this OD,Tan,Black G-10 scale for my 0550.
Was going for a Vietnam era "Tiger Stripe" look. Did not quite achieve that, but turned out OK for me.

Looks awesome! My new replacement 550 is out for delivery today. I hope it shows up before i leave work! I already have a kryptoglow scale for it.

Thanks for the positive comments all ! V V V I have the normal garage tools. Drill Press, Belt sander, Dremel.
The drill press has been the most useful, aside from the esential Dremel. I'm sure everything could be(and has been) done with a hand drill, but a small bench top drill press has been most useful.
Cheers, Dan.

The flame coloring did not get as vivid on the 0550 as I got on my 0560. Really hard to see in pics. I flamed the Ti, and the liner, as well as the clip and LBS.
I am thinking of stripping it down and sanding, rubbing and buffing the lock side to a high gloss, and then flame coloring it again.
