I couldn't leave it alone, had to do it.
I took it to the belt grinder at 220 grit to take it down by .017", then 400, then 600 to clean it up.

I'm liking it.....it's (scale) a keeper.

I like it. I've done similar things to G-10 Leeks and the now discontinued Avalanche.

Looks nice Rick - it reminds me of some of our old offerings like the Random Task with the polished G-10 handles. The polishing really changes the feel.

Looks great and probably feels even better.

I’ve been on a sanding kick lately myself.

I have gotten tired of the sharp edges on some of my knives so I’ve been “melting” the inner and outer edges of the scales off my knives. The transformation is phenomenal. I’ve even taken to sanding and/or filing the metal liners. A little chamfering goes a long way.

It’s nice actually using knives instead of just collecting them. It lets you improve them.

Looks very nice. I was messing with some G10 over the weekend and didn't have my whole face covered up and was quite itchy by the end :D

Love your avatar LEEK......I've talked to guys who have reactions just being in the presence of G10, Micarta, Bocote, etc.

I just slide my Willie Nelson bandana over my nose, safety glasses, and I go. Maybe someday when I've donated my body to science they'll find all kinds of weird stuff growing in there...

I did the same thing to my G10 Speed Bump recently, as i didn't like the grippy feel of the G10, but with the smooth grips, it comes out of my pocket very easy now, and feels better in my hands as well.
