I've been dropping hints on a few threads here for a black wash version of ZT 0550 and it became a reality. ZT 0550BW is a blade hq exclusive, and mine arrived yesterday! Thank you ZT, bladeforums, and bladehq!

Just a quick cell phone pic for now. I'm happy today! :D:D:D

That is nice. Congrats, I'd be real happy too. I'm still lovin my 0560BW and 0300BW, that 0550BW is not far behind.

Congrats. I'll be getting one at some point since I have every variation of the 0550/0551.

Thanks guys. I have to say this 0550BW is really awesome. The BW Ti side is much more attractive to look at, and hides scratches. After carrying it for 1 month it looks like NIB. As a bonus the black clip gets less unwanted attention, which is great for such a beefy knife.

I'm really liking the looks of that 0550BW. Can you post up a pic of how yours is looking after the month EDC, like the shot in your first post?

Gonna be getting me one soon as well. Got some Rival and Pete Gray love in the works for it. Gonna be awesome.

I really want one of these even more after seeing pic......i just love Kershaw/ZTs blackwash

Here are the shots, she is a bit of a safe queen since my 0550 is the user.

Very nice! One of the cool things about the BW finish is that you can make it a user, and it'll still look just as great!

Yeah, If I were to start over I'd buy both and make 0550bw the user, keep the 0550 prestine.

Oh man that's a good looking knife. I gotta say I love the look of a stone wash, acid etched or "Texas Tea" blade finish. It makes the knife look like a worn weapon. Also makes it easier to use and break in because you won't be afraid of scratching the knife lol

Sprung for one to complete my set of all ZT 0550/0551. I have one 0550BLK with Hinderer CF scale that I use but not the rest. So smooth!

Nice, do share a picture of your completed set when it arrives!

Will do. By the way, a scale that looked blackwashed should go well with the 0550BW. Perhaps one of my CF ones. We'll see. As is, the G-10 is too plain black to go with the blackwashed look.

These will be my ZT 0550/0551 ones (even the identical models have different scales):

  1. 0550 (Gen 1)
  2. 0550 (Gen 2)
  3. 0550 (ELMAX)
  4. 0550BLK
  5. 0550BLK
  6. 0550BW
  7. 0551
  8. 0551

To me, something like this Cuscadi would be cool to try:

I got something like the second one from you last year. Difficult to have a scale matching the BlackWashed look but perhaps less black and more gray.
