I'm not new to knives, but I'm new to the forum. This place is a wealth of information, sometimes useless, but nonetheless information :)

My current collection consists of a Benchmade Auto Stryker, Benchmade Auto Adamas, Spyderco Endura (very old), Spyderco Manix 2 with the G10 handles and an old SOG. I've been stuck in China for the past year and am Jonesing for some new steel. I've been lurking for a bit, decided I really want a Zero Tolerance 0562CF and was all set to purchase from Jeff at Cutlery Shoppe, when I came across a photo of one of Whitty's anodized 0562CF's. The option to have a somewhat customized ZT is very appealing to me, but I'm concerned about how the anodizing will wear. I own a Ti mt. bike and know the metal is indestructible, but it's naked, so I have no reference for how it holds color. I've read the post from DonL regarding titanium anodizing, but was wondering if any of you have an anodized titanium knife? How long have you had it and how does it look? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like you can have the lock side anodized.
Anodizing should hold well under normal use and you can redo it.
hope this helps.
PS: Got a blue anodized Sebie - looks like a grey one just blue.
It was anodized so long ago, I can't remember - sorry.

I haven't done any anodization on the frame side, but I have got a copper titanium LBS. It ads a nice touch to the frame side.

anodizing holds up well over time, but like any finish it can show signs of scratches, snail trails, and pocket washing. Some colors can be more prone to fingerprints and oils in the hand than others, but its easily cleaned with a microfiber cloth.

This one is blue & bronze anodized.

I have an anodized ZT0808 from USAMadeBlade and it's held up fine under daily use. Go for it!

The lighter bronze and lighter blues will hold up much better than darker colors as the darker colors can fade a little and show scratches and finger prints more. Most of the time the color will come back nicely after being cleaned with windex. The nice thing about anodizing is that a year or 2 down the road it can be re done! Hope this helps? Thanks for giving us any consideration at all!

Your guys pics are almost as bad as crack! Thanks for them and the info on your Ti anodized daily carrys.

Ok Whitty, I'm going to take the plunge. Any recommendations on where I can get custom hardware for the 0562CF in case I want to bedazzle it with a little more titanium?

Welcome to BFC jcclow!!!!
Everything you want to get done to personalize a new ZT can be found by folks here.
Look up Midnight Sun Industries for custom scales and Gnoleb for parts.
This is what I did to mine :)

^^^ Gorgeous!!! I sent Curtis a Pro Tech TR-3 and a Benchmade 761 recently! They're on their way back already!! He got them done quickly and they look insane cool!!
Great guy!

I just purchased my ZT 0562CF from Whitty and he's already shipped it. I won't even be back in the States for another 10 days. I didn't expect Amazon quick service. Thanks Scott@USAmadeblades!

@Ajack60...those scales are awesome. Thanks for the advice!
