VERY similar handle shape and feel in the hand. Surprisingly similar, I guess that's just how Tim Galyean likes to design his knives. They both feel very nice though. Overall, the 0700 is pretty much a JYD with an angular handle and different blade shape. If you like the JYD, you will also enjoy the 0700

0700 is very much the same knife as the jydII, almost identical in size and feel, but i actually like my jyd better... its smoother

I use my knives hard, but I also take care of them.

I bought the 700 on a whim, I thought it looked nice and the price wasn't bad. It'll probably just just get thrown into the EDC rotation along with everything else.

The 550 doesn't do anything for me, oddly enough. Would be a different story if it had a flipper.

Man I love my 700 so much i picked up the 700blk. I like you am not to crazy bout tanto knives but I got the 700 at such a deal I couldn't help but buy it. Contrats on ur pickup.
