0777 lockbar insert question

I noticed the lockbar insert was redesigned on the 0777. Was this an issue with not wanting people asking for parts for a fake?

Somewhere in one of the 0777 threads Jim mentioned the change was due to practicality in manufacturing. He didn't mention the parts thing.

The lockbar insert was changed so that the detent ball could be pressed into the lockbar itself. THis way, it remains stationary when you adjust the lock insert.
