Before: $1.00 at a garage sale:

After: Blue parrot fish insert.

The original sheath has been soaked in neatsfoot oil to preserve it, but was too badly cracked to restore. The new sheath has a Parrot fish inlay with pigskin lining, kept in tradition to the old style. Blade is by "Sheffield Cutlery Co."

Great find for $1.00.....Nice clean up job and great looking sheath
 
I'd buy that for a dollar! :D

Good looking work by the way, the sheath and the cleanup on the knife.
 
wow that is a good clean up job. could u give me a rel quick run down of wht u did to restore that knife.

Lots of elbow grease, hand filed/polished/buffed the handle. Wet & dry to 600g on the blade, the blade still needs some work as its pitted slightly, I will work on it some more when I have done my next knifemakers course, due September.
