That came up fast. Wow.

Going to keep this one simple, no high heels at all.

Best photo of a meal cooked on the trail/camping wins. Going to run this for a month or so. Call it the end of Feb.

Points for how much I want to personally eat the meal, presentation, remoteness of the cooking location, and if I like the color of your plates.

No limit on entries, But I ask nothing from the archives....I want people to go out and cook this now.

Very cool idea! I don't know if I'll be able to make an entry but I'll bet you see some nice lookin meals.

Hell, cook on a fire in the backyard for all I care...just more 'points' the further out you go man.

This one's from the archive, and I don't really care if you disqualify me for it, because it is an awesome meal. Fresh-caught trout in the Beartooth range in Montanna, 3 days into a week-long backpacking trip. Big fish at this lake, we caught several in the 15-17" range.

That looks tasty. This thread is less about rules and winning, and more about awesome food.

I love dutch-oven pizza. The ingredients keep well so you can have it for dinner after you've been camping for a couple days (when everything tastes better anyway) and have an incredibly satisfying meal!

This is from the archives from this past summer in the Wayne National Forest.
Cast iron skillet, seasoned turkey, peppers, mushrooms, and onions.
I think its funny to take pictures of food..

So do the ingredients need to be found/caught or can i pack them all in? In that case I suppose I could 4 star it up...seems like more of a challenge to cook based on environmental ingredients.

You can pack 'em in. Finding catching is all well and good....but I'm looking for anything cooked 'out there' I'm going out for a few days...see if I can come up with anything.
