Finally got a 'regular' 42 to actually manipulate. Man, was it fun!!!!! Mine started to squeak after a couple fast and furious minutes but a drop of Miltec1 on the joints and it was better than new. Put it in a 'real' sheath, a vintage BaliSong Cocoon, and practiced openings into a reverse ice-pick and a latch close. Since the handles are so light it takes a little more effort to do the latch close, unlike my old 1/4 pound Manilla Folder. Well, had to tell someone.........my better half doesn't pay any attention unless I interrupt her soaps or get cut real good! Take care all, Dudley

Dudely, know exactly what you mean, the wife can't get into it what so ever! but my daughters all like to try their hand at it, the middle daughter can do a variety of openings, much to her boyfriends surprise and nervousness....good for her!

It is a light rascal alright! but I do like that the handles do not get as slippery as the steel ones did, nice touch on that titanium....!

You're exactly right on the 'slipperyness' observation; the more I work with the 42, the better the feel I get for the knife. This is the first butterfly I've played with that had titanium handles and the 'hotter' they get, the 'grainer' they feel. The more moisture I have from sweat, oils, etc.., on my hands, the better I can grip the knife. I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!
