I have never felt such perfection in my life. This is the first time I have had my hands on any of the SH knives. This knife is so fast in the hand and sharp as all hell. Ban does wonders, let me tell you, this is probably the sharpest large knife I have ever felt.
I dont think I will have problems with the dredded pinky bite, this knife fits me perfectly. I used to think other knives were the "one perfect knife", but that has changed. I honestly feel that this is the one for me. It is large enough to chop if needed, but light and fast enough in the hand for small tasks as well.
I have a HH FSH with Horton right now have the butt rounded to match my SHBM. It is also getting the satin finish and a matching convexed edge. I think they will make an awsome pair when they are back together. Pictures of the two will follow when she returns home.
Jeremy, you should post some WIP pictures if you have the time brother.
Anyone else have any nice SHBM pictures they feel like posting. I am going to have a hard time using such a beauty, but hopefully I overcome that feeling and use her. I really wanted just a standard SHBM without the swedge so it wouldnt tear up the wood while batoning, only lime will tell if I made the right choice. Worst case I can always thow it on the exchange and trade it for one that doesnt have the swedge and it just flat on top.
