Just got finished with these two very recently.
The 1/300 is now sporting hand shaped green linen micarta with a polished convex edge.
The FFBM is fully convexed up to the dimpled saber grind and has hand shaped black paper micarta. I always assumed that black paper is pure black but I guess it is not the case. This particular batch has a green tint to it. When sanded down it looks almost like a charcoal black.
Special thanks to Solstice for helping me clean up the dimples with a bead blaster. I had to get all that gunk out of the dimples before blending in the satin.
