I wanted the XL recon folder but can't afford it so got the XL Voyager in drop point. A little reward for not smoking this long.

Can't wait until it arrives.

Anyone got one?

Correction looks more like a clip point.

I love my XL clip point. Zero bladeplay, perfect centering, and a relatively mild Tri-Ad lock. As long as your unit doesn’t have QC issues, you chose an excellent knife.

Congrats on beating smoking. If you get tempted to dip back, don’t be shy to reach out to folks you trust.

Congrats! I never had the Voyager XL but I had the Rajah 2 in Aus 10A. Solid performer. I got rid of it tho. Too big and the recurve was a pain to sharpen freehand.

I still have and love my Recon 1 and Ultimate Hunter tho.

Nobody does fugly like cold steel!
The best thing about not smoking is thinking of all the money you're not giving to some tobacco executive every day. Some guy who depends on other people's addiction and death to fund his lifestyle, who would go berserk if he found his own kids smoking.
Never give him another cent!

CONGRATS!
I'm hoping to get back on the wagon myself soon. Been on and off struggling with quitting again the past few mos.
Started when I was 9, (yup, 9; 4th grade), now 40, the longest stretch I ever stayed quit to date is 1 day shy of 1 year in 2013-'14... Another 7 mos. stretch ended last Feb. ('19) when the wife picked 'em back up just after her dog passed, and I picked 'em back up right alongside her.
Dumbest thing I've ever done is pick them back up, and that's saying something as I've done a LOT of dumb things in my life...

Stay the course bro! And enjoy that mammoth of a knife!

I quit almost 3 years ago (anniversary will be August 13th, 2 days before my birthday!)

I still have cravings once in a while, but it gets easier. Knives make it a lot easier. Having a 3 year old makes it even easier! Haha!

Keep it up! Just think of all the knives that you can buy!
