It's a terrible question but.. name your single-most(non-custom) choices
for all chores:
My Folder:Manix
My Fixed: 7" Kabar D2 Extreme Fighting

OOOOH! That Aussie has great taste! I gotta $ave up for those beauties! Cheers mate!

Folder: Victorinox SwissTool....but if multi-tools don't count then it would be my Microtech UMS

Fixed-blade: Ontario 12" machete

Hey Guys..

Rowdy...

Good to see another CanaJun in here..

As for favorite fixed blades.. Ohh Geez,, that a tough call..

THe folders I've been carrying heavy lately are the Spyderco Waved Endura and the Buck/Strider Military.. Absolutely LOVE both of these blades...

For aound $60USD the B/S Military is one hell of a fine folder..

ttyle

Eric...

Folder: DDR-3 (I know, it's a kit knife, but the 'core' components are excellent).
Fixed Blade: Grohmann no. 4

A Buck Alpha and BK-9 come in as close seconds for me.

- Mike

Folder: Swamp Rat Rat Trap (Sebbie for dress-up knife)
Fixed: Busse Zero Tolerance Natural Outlaw

Folder: Emerson Super CQC-7
Fixed: (Hunting) Colt Pathfinder - You may laugh, but it has gone through 5 deer like butter. I know I need to upgrade.

Fixed: Swamp Rat Rat Daddy CG

Folder: Ehhhh, my Manix has yet to arrive:rolleyes: , so I will go with My Endura with Wave.

I would rather take a smaller fixed blade than any folder- I would take my Busse DABA

Folder: Spyderco R-2 fully serrated
Fixed: Sean O'Hare Slipstream

If it "goes through 5 deer like butter" then NO you DONT need to upgrade. Just like you dont need to sheell out $370 for a Sebenza when the only thing it has over other much cheaper knives are titanium scales and a CR stamp. But if thats your cup of tea, then by all means drink it.

Folder: Victorinox Soldier. What other knife is this inexpensive, with zero blade play, is so easy to sharpen, shaves so effortlessly, and offers so much additional utility?

Fixed: Ka-Bar Black Tanto. Again it is Economicaly priced, easy to sharpen, and holds a great edge.
