Are they being issued to the military? I was thinking of trying to get some for a BOB.

Yes, they are in BQM's latest catalogue, page 43. Called ECHO brand, says they are made by Skilcraft. P/N PCQ8502, $10.99 ea.

I'm thinking about a couple also for the belt. For my BOB, I have spare Platypus bags I picked up at a re-sell store for a buck or 2 each brand new.
