It's time to do it again! Join us for some fun.

Let's get out in the woods and use those blades! Our clearing in the woods keeps getting a little bigger each year, and with the trees we dropped already we can get up a fire and burn some dogs for lunch.

Mark your calendars for Sat. June 25, 10:30am. After our fun and fill of dogs, we might retire to the Winking Lizard in nearby Peninsula and enjoy their extensive beer menu.

Location is just 1/2 mile from the Rt 303 exit (Exit 12) off I-271 in Richfield. And a 1/2 mile hike to our spot.

Bring your knives, big and small, all brands, to use and abuse, and for show and tell if you have safe queens. All are welcome; Hogs, Rats, Dogs, would-be, wanna-be, lurkers and others.

Please EMAIL me for specific directions, so that I can add you to our mailing list for future events.

Who knows, maybe Skunk will fly in and show us how to cook the hot dogs.

Here are reports from some past events, check out how many users you get to play with:

If you don't have users to bring, I do, so come out in the woods with us for some chopping good times.

So far there will be four of us Busse nuts in the woods this Saturday. Why don't you join us?

Here is a typical group of knives from a past event that folks get to play with. Bring your users, any brand, or try out one of ours.

So we have about 5 folk coming. The weather looks to be decent; we won't bake our brains like last year. Join us!

What new stuff are you all bringing?
I got the Rodent solution, MUK and a new war dog:thumbup:

Koster Survivor, BJ LE, CABS, BB SHBM, Krein Vagabond.

The woods will be a little wet, but the rain has stopped.

And a good time was had by all.

Four showed to start, roenman (Bill), rtiger2 (Jeff), and intel440 (Clint). We bushwacked our way through the woods back to our ever expanding clearing. Everything was quite wet, so we had some difficulty getting the fire going. The four of us are not exactly skilled woodsman.

Chuck, we needed you!

We split open some of the wood we had dropped and stacked last summer, split it down for kindling, and I used a Mora to make some shavings. Just about then forager (Mark) arrived, and split off some of his fatwood supply. Between all that, we managed to get a fire up.

I forgot my camera, but took some cell phone pics. Give me two weeks to post them.

Clint's wife once again made some very nice pasta salad for us, so with that and the hot dogs we were well fed.

Thanks to Mark for live-posting the pics. Commentary added.

Here we are. Bad iPhone pics

I dropped a small small tree with the Garth-reground TTKZ to have dry fuel for the next time.
