Well tomorrow makes one year that I have been a member of bladeforums, I have a million posts, been through a hundred knives, and have learned more than i ever though possible about blades and steels.

You good people here in the becker subforum are some of the greatest people i have ever had the pleasure of talking with, you guys are extremely generous and always willing to help another head in need. I cant express how great of group we have here, and how happy i am to be a part of such community.

As a way to give a back a little bit, I am holding another GAW, but the last few I held required participation, took a while, and some people had better shot of winning than others and blah blah blah, LMAO...

This time its Beckerheads only and its just who is lucky LMAO, Ill ask a question below, the first to answer wins. Its that simple just post the answer here and then PM me your shipping address and I will be sending you a little care package. Im not sure what all I might throw in the box, but there will be no feces :D And it will for sure have an esee arrowhead and a great book on shelter making... and maybe something else :D

Id like to thank all the guys and gals here that make it such a great place, all of you that read all my ramblings in the snark thread, everyone who ever reached out to help another, everyone who has answered a question to provide help... EVERYONE, THANK YOU!

Good Luck to ALL!!!

And here is the question:

Just saw this thread a moment ago. Makes me wonder where you got your morse code background. Are you a ham in hiding . . . ? :)

73,

I had to laugh for a couple of reasons when I saw the Morse code. Chronologically:
Back when I participated in scouts, we were given a scavenger hunt. one of the clues was given in Morse Code. I was the only one who recognized what it was and easily deciphered the message after finding MC in the Scout's handbook.
Then, in 1991, I spent several months learning Morse Code. I was what they called a "code rock" as it didn't come to me easily. I was a CTT in the navy and it was supposed to be a two month course but turned into 3 months of 8 hour days of listening to MC followed by 2 hours each evening of mandatory extra training. It was not fun. I quickly forgot MC once I got out of the navy. I do remember a few letters, but not many.
