I really need to get out camping before year's end. I got a new tent, new camp stove, new cast iron cook set, new sleeping pads, and new infi that has never been camping. I really need to get the wife and kid out, and I am running out of good weather weekends. This weekend I have a scout campout, but that is not the same as camping on your own with the family.
Those are some great pictures, and a nice hog leg you are packing there. How did it ride the whole hike? Comfortable? I need to get a comfortable rig for hiking. I only have .357 revolvers (a ruger sp101 or a nice old stainless smith and wesson) but don't think my holsters would be too comfortable, and they would be in the way for my back pack straps. I guess I could also hike with my glock .40, but those aren't really "bear stopper" choices. I suppose I could load up the defender shotgun, and slip in in a holster and strap it in the ski holders on the side of the pack.
