Hi Guy's,
Just finished this "French pattern" Chef knife. I forged it out of 1." diameter O1 round stock.
Blade length to the handle is 10"
Overall length is 15 & 3/8"
Blade Max thickness is .135
Blade height is 2 & 1/8"
African Black wood handles.
Comments Welcomed.

Thanks for Looking.

Looks great.
Can you pot a heel shot? I am interested how the grind is and the thickness behind the edge.

Thanks

AMAZING Workmanship!

This has to be one of the finest forged integral chef knives I have seen to date.

You sir, are doing some fine work.

I love integrals and forge all by hand. I would love to be making more integral chef knives! Thanks for the inspiration:)

That is one beautiful knife! A real work of art! It will last more than one lifetime and it will probably become a family heirloom.

Thank You All for your kind comments.
I made this knife because I have always liked "True" Carbon steel Chef knives like Sabatier used to make. My intent was to put it on my table at a show next month in Massachusetts.
Hi Mainaman,
The edge thickness right behind the sharpened edge is about .007". The Rockwell target is RC59. Here is a cutting edge pic for you.
