I just noticed that it's been exactly 10 years since I made my first knife!

This is my first knife that I made when I was 13 years old. I made the knife on a five day knifemaking course with Kay Vikströmn who I also bought the blade from.
The handle and the sheath was however made by me. I still use this knife when hunting.

Below are two pictures of a folder I finished about a week ago.

I can sure see some improvements!

I've done all the work on this knife myself including the damascus.
It's a liner lock with a three bar mosaic blade with expolsion edges.
The back bar is made in rwl-34 with inlays of blacklip and a silver plate with my logo egraved on it.

I hope I will continue to improve my work and that the next 10 years of knifemaking will as fun as the first.

Jakob

Congratulations on your 10 years as a knifemaker Jacob! Interesting to see your first knife.

I have a "first knife" from Gudy Van Poppel, and it sure is an interesting piece!

Beautiful folder. Some improvements are indeed noticeable... ;)

Kind regards,

Jos

in 10 years you have made some amazing progress!

your last knife is amazing!

that is really a very nice folder. I like the way things pull together between blade and bolsters. Checked out the website and did not find the folder there. Also $US would be good to have. Maybe put sold knives on a Gallery page so that only ones currently still available are there. Keep prices there too with notation of Sold. Just a couple thoughts. Nice looking knives on the site.

Thanks for all your nice coments!

Thanks for your advices! I sure need to do some improvements on my site. I should really update my gallery more often, quite a few knives are sold before they are put on the website and don't make it to the gallery. Maybe I could also have a "previously sold" page where I can state the price for a sample of my knives.

Best regards
Jakob
