Finally put in one of my beloved paramilitaries in my WE and started filing

Just putting a beautiful edge on this blade and get all the way through to finally 1600 grit ceramics putting a nice semi polish edge on

I'm feeling the groove and getting my strokes in and

Back stroked the edge of the ceramic on the tip yeap it's F'd (well ok it's just not going to be awesome but still)

I had it in the vise and I'm 99% done and I wanted to cry a little

I made a few more strokes and said I'll just fix it later

I just didn't have it in me to start damn near over again

Anyone else do this?

Yes. Take some sandpaper and sand the spine until the screwed up tip disappears

How bad is it? Did you take a picture? It is just a knife... and any knife is supposed to wear out over time with use and sharpenning... It is just a tool, treat it as such!

It's just the apex of the tip, probably .020-.040 only really noticeable under magnification

I semi fixed it

So... are we talking about something between .5 and 1 mm?:confused:Don't worry much about it. You still have plenty of blade left....:D
