I have up to 100 dollars to spend on a folding knife and I need some help choosing. I would like it to have the following things:

Strong Lock, no liner locks
2.75-3.5 inch blade
154cm, s30v, d2, vg-10 or similar blade
fast opening
under 5 ounces
drop point plain edged blade
prefer US made
reputable company

thanks :)

I always get < and > confused :(. I'm liking the orange griptilian and the manix 2, which one of those is all around superior in all of your opinions?

I want a better steel than the ram but apart from that it looks good. Maybe the tyrade with D2 would be good, though it's a bit big.

I think the G-10 Tyrade is one of the best deals going, but it does not fit your specs very well! It has a liner lock, but of .080" thick hardened stainless steel. The weight is 6.7 ounces so that blows the under 5 ounces out of the water. It does have a CPMD2 cutting edge that comes hair poppin sharp, at least all 6 of mine have come that way, and the liner lock is VERY well done. Not a bad deal in the under $100 range of knives!

decided on the orange griptilian, will be great as a back up blade for my camping trip ina few weeks. 70 dollars shipped ani't a bad price either :) I think I'll pick up a RAM at some point in teh future though.
