100% ripstop cotton BDU material...

If you mean is it heavy when wet and takes a long time to dry out in certain spots? ... "crotch" ... Yeap hehe. I have a pair of each in woodland , and the 60/40 are much nicer all around. The pure cotton seem too bulky for me to feel like im moving freely. If that makes sense... just my opinion.

I would imagine that it is as bad as denim when wet, since both are constucted of the same material; only difference is the manner of weave. I definitely prefer the 60/40 poly-cotton blend.

poly-cotton dries faster - but the cotton BDU stuff is more silent if that is important (for example if you need to hunt in a survival situation you will have to go without trousers  if you wear the cotton/poly blend) (- if that is the same stuff that is offered over here).

Thanks for the replies.

I was more worried for when they got wet. Most places I see on the internet only have the 100% cotton ripstop shorts.

Does anyone sell the 60/40 blend shorts?

You can try Brigade Quarter Master website, big ole' Army & Navy on-line store. They even have there own specially made for them using "Combat Cloth".There are various materials and mixes.I purchased some Polyester fatiques and have had better wear resistance, color not fading after washing, not wrinkly looking after washing.I found them comfortable to wear.I likem better than my Propper and other "issue" clothing. They have Military and Police style shorts,BDU's etc.
