A good friend gave me this set it is missing something as you can see by the empty spot in the box.The knife is mint and has very even blade grind and great fit and finish and the insert in the scale says 100 years Buck Knives 1902-2002.No sheath but what a thing to have handed to ya' along with a sheathless Helle Earth to boot.

I just looked under the red insert and there is a black nylon belt pouch with velcro like the ones I remember the BuckLites had.

That's cool! I think the empty spot was probably a card or insert with some info on the knife. :)

It's been a while since I've seen a complete box but I think the frame was for a card. On the card was printed a statement about Buck's 100yrs.. Some of the one hundred yr. knives had it inked on the blade. Others had the medallion. A very few knives had both. There were several models they chose for these 100yr. commemorative. 110, 112, 501 perhaps even one more. I recall seeing these in Wal-_ _ _ _. DM

Yup; just a card; if you can find someone with an open one; get them to loan it to you and make a color copy on card stock and replace it.....I did that on a
Mint set last year; color copiers are awesome; you can match anything but the new $100 bill..l..

Congrats on your Buck! That should last long enough to be 100 years old.
