Just to let everyone know that we (SFPD, SF Sheriff's Department) arrested 1000 + so called war protestors! I pissed, hungry, and very tired. Back to the streets!

Oh, yeah, do you call jumping on citizens cars, vandalism, and throwing bottles at cops "peacefull"?

 too much tv rots these kids brains. Crappy public schools with hidden agendas dont help either.:barf:

Heavy fines will give them a dose of the real world. Every action has a reaction :D

Make 'em pay.

Here in Hawthorne, Nevada, Armed Forces Day(s) resulted in lots of drunks getting picked up and released later cause the jail was full.

About 8 years back, the Sheriff announced that all Mineral County prisoners had been moved to the Lyon County Jail where they would remain until after Armed Forces day.

Which meant Mineral County's Jail was sitting there empty, waiting with open arms for those that wanted to get rowdy thinking they couldn't be arrested.

I swear somedays a good darned portion of these protestors are just looking to make trouble, and could care less about politics. I suppose thats how you get riots over bar closings, sports teams winning, sports teams losing, etc... I keep hoping that one day it will be actually fashionable to grow a brain.

OT: I now have a I" diameter 48" long and 24 ounce piece of 6/6 molybdenum injected nylon. Took part of a motorcycle grip about a half inch wide and placed it at the 38" mark, cut two inches off the end of the grip and put it on to mark the pommel area, and wrapped the remaining 8" with leather lace.

It's even wavy grey so seeing it while moving is really difficult for the perps. And with 4 full feet, in a two hand sword grip you could slam the point into something real hard and withdraw to an unthreatening posture.

Indeed, placing it next to my Del Tin 2142 bastard sword it even balances ttip heavy. To you, it's a walking stick. To me, it's a waster that can take rattan or wooden wasters ( training swords ) apart.

Seems it might be handy in riot control too - I think India uses 4 foot lathi's for crowd situations. If you did so, replace the black cane tip with grey, and the grip parts and lace with grey or tan.

I dunno Rusty there's something about 4ft long 2" diameter rattan poles (fire hardened for your pleaseure:p ) that just isnt there in synthetics. I remember watching tape of protestors in PI taking part in EDSA 3 (I suppose no one has any idea what IM talking about but it happened last year abouts), soon as the Manila cops whipped out the rattan suddenly Erap supporters looking for trouble became peaceful citizens just trying to get home as fast as they could;)

I think they need to round up all of them and send them to Iraq and see how smart they really are.;)

Let them throw bottles at the Iraq army and see how far that gets them.

These are the same people who would be protesting if a million people got killed here with an antrax bomb. They are protesting for a perfect world because they are not smart enough to figure out there ain't no such thing.

As far as 4" poles go... the Japanese use them for Riot control and security. The Security Guards at the airports still carry'em last time I heard.

Hey Rusty, know any joint locks or pins with one?

Just an interesting note... The best Judo schools are within the Japanese Police Depts, a wrestler (and not this crap you watch on the TV) with the knowledge how to wield a Jo is a considerable force to be rekoned with, much less him and 30 or so of his buddies!

Maybe we should import some of those guys to deal with our West Coast protestors?

Watching the Anti-War demonstrations, flashes me back to 1968. I was out of the war and back in college. The Peace Movement was the happening scene. There was always a joint and a jug of red wine being passed around, and they had pretty good entertainment at the rallies.

It was great fun yelling out letters of the alphabet as Country Joe and the Fish led us in his inspirational anthem -- "Gimmie and F", and there was always a speech by a Jewish Communist Lesbian from New York City, and a group of Black Panthers from Oakland would sometimes show up. They were quite impressive in their black leather coats. When Eldridge Cleaver got up on stage with his line up of body guards I always felt that were about to break into a number by the Impressions, but all that ever happened was that Cleaver would cuss the "White Man" and try to sell his book, "Soul on Ice". I never read his book but I did vote for him when he ran for Predident on the Peace and Freedom Party ticket. "Right on Brother-Gimmie a Dollar"!.

I found a big button in a head shop in Berkeley that said "Viet Nam Veteran for Peace". This acted as a magnet for idealistic hippie chicks whose slogan "Make Love Not War" I certainly agreed with. When the party got spirited and the night sticks came out, I made sure I was strategically located close enough to be part of it all, but nowhere near the head cracking zone.

It's amazing how a good riot gets the juices flowing. The easiest pick-ups and best sex I ever had were right after "Peace Demonstrations". Some of my best memories involve protesting for piece.

Ben, I know some won't appreciate it but I've always enjoyed greatly your sense of humor and am pleased to see you have not lost it with age.

I was going to Modesto JC when the Students for a Democratic Society held a rally. I even thought of joining since they'd just been put on the FBI something or other ( or banned as illegal or whatever ).

Today I'd tell 'em that's nice, now let me thru and we won't have any trouble. If you don't, then I'll back up and build up some speed to really run you over with.

I live in NY and the crowds of anti war are generaly sad. They have all these well to do people who hate the military , government, and business. I would say their family incomes are over $100,000 on average and their income comes from their parents or themselves working in business or government. If the had any real intent to influence the war effort they would be a real force due to the resources they have.
Its so sad the ones who do not serve, would not serve, well off with many outstanding choices are protesting the very institutions that literally make them the cream of this city.
I have the greatest of respect for anyone who has a true belief one way or another and is willing to back it up. This includes those who disgree with me totally but I see most of those in the demonstrations here as opportunists ,mean spirited and little people.
The bottom line is that we are at war and our soldiers welfare comes first whether you like the war or not.
