As for why, it's a reminder of who I used to be, at a different time in my life. I love the sword, but the memories that surround it are much more important to me.

I'm only going to enter once.

This was my first real knife, It was my father's. I always begged him to give it to me and when I started Boy Scouts, I got it. We were at one of the campgrounds and I accidentally broke the tip off. That was over 10 years ago and I still haven't told him...

Congrats on the 1000! I won't be entering because my most cherished set of knives was gifted to me by a close friend. He asked that I never post pictures of them, and I will respect his wishes. Its a Family thing.

All I can tell you is this: If you ever saw them, everything else you have seen or will possibly see in the future will be meaningless...

Congrats T-bag! :D. Ive shown this a couple times. My limited camo packrat. This sucker was a gift from T.W. and for that reason is one of my favorite kershaws I own.

Congrats on the 1000! Here are two of mine together. The handmade fixedblade was a gift from my uncle about 10 years ago. Came in a beat up, old leather sheath, and not very sharp but now its the sharpest fixedblade I own.
The folder is a medium Smith and Wesson SWAT knife that was given to me by my father. Not a birthday or holiday gift, but just because. He bought one for himself as well. I carried this knife everyday for I-don't-know how many years. Now the chisel edge is beyond repair and the thin linerlock is almost completely worn out. But i'll never get rid of it.

Well the bowie my dad gave me (well he kinda gave it to me but I had to keep my room spotless for 1 month) I love this thing got it when I was ten it tought me how to sharpen and is what got my knife addiction started!!!!!
