Hi all.
I just realized that i have passed the 1000 post mark. Apparently, i am a chatterbox, because it does not seem like i have been part of this forum for very long.
I have learned quite a bit since becoming a BF member. I have never been an online “forum” person. In fact, this is the only one i am a part of. And i’ll tell ya what…i feel a bit odd saying that i talk to you folks more than many of my close friends. It makes me pause for a moment to consider this. And you know what? I don’t find it “weird”. i consider myself privileged to be part of this community. In short, i enjoy the time i spend here.
I have thought about what i wanted to do for a contest. I thought about maybe asking for a story, or asking what is your passion. i.e. what is it that you enjoy doing that you look forward to more than anything else? And, “spending time with family” was going to be disallowed. Has to be personal.
BUT...with that said... i have decided to just do a random number generator.
Wow. I’m wordy. What i am trying to say is this: I would like to give away a knife. Now, i have to tell you…i like this knife. Nay…i love it. But, what better way to say “thank you” than to give away a knife that has some meaning to me.
Up for grabs is the JK LRK+. The handle is my own creation and is KOA over thin black G10 liners with black micarta pins. The knife comes with a kydex sleeve (it does lock in). The handle is real thin. It is a lightweight, go-anywhere package.
you may not want it. the kydex does have some epoxy i accidentally dripped on to it.
Some of you may recall that i posted some WIP pics in the LRK+ thread. if interested, go here to see many more pics (page 10):

1) You have to be a "contributing member" to the forum. I know that is rather subjective. In general, if you have over 100 posts, or have been registered for over a year...then, that qualifies. **Please understand that i do reserve the right to disqualify your entry.
2) sorry, but you must be 18+.
3) another apology, but you have to live within the continental U.S.
4) If you feel that you meet my strict selection criteria, then just post in the thread that you want in. That's it.
I will close this next Wed 10/17 at 5pm EST, and i will announce the winner later that night.
