Thanks to everyone here for making this place a great place to come and type. Without you all I doubt I would have stayed around here this long.

I have found this place informative and entertaining. I guess one can say, "Come for the knives, stay for the freaks". :D

A year ago I didn't know how to sharpen, how to finish wood. I didn't even know what a mirkin was. So, thank you all for teaching me, entertaining me and putting up with my 1000 posts.

I still can't sharpen or finish wood. And I am not sure what a mirkin is.

I have gotten a warm chuckle out of 998 of your posts, Bruiser, and ROARED at the other two. You are one of the freaks who makes it worthwhile around here.
 
Congrats Bruise. You often bring in fresh air, lighter, friendlier air.

I tried to double check Merkin or mirkin; couldn't find it in my 40 year old Webster's College. Not an essential word, I guess. I first heard it when I was a sniggering teenager...we looked it up then and I thought it meant an actual trimmed pubic hair area, like a beard. Had no idea of the wig aspect for gettig around obscenity laws. If I ever dig up my Oxford's unabridged I'll look it up, but I tossed that thick volume into a dark corner as mostly useless, giving you deviations and derivatives but not neccesarily more words.

Bruise, the thing I most like about what you have brought to this forum is your humor. You have consistantly cracked me up without being mean, even when you are poking fun. Your freakiness adds to the Cantina in a very positive way.
