10000 characters error

Getting this error trying to post a sales thread to "For Sale: Folding Knives (Individual)"...

The following error occurred:
Please enter a message with no more than 10000 characters.

I have checked with my text editor and I'm at around 3200 characters and 14 pictures. Anybody know what's going on?

EDIT: Ok, I cut it down to ten pictures and it posted, but I don't know why. Is there a ten picture limit?

Likely so. According to posts on the XenForo user forums, the default size limits for a post is ... 10 pics and 10,000 characters. Spark probably left those settings on the defaults. You can always add a second post to your sales thread in order to add more pics.

Strangely enough, the post now has 14 pictures and is almost exactly the same post for which I originally rec'd the error message. All that's different is this... when I originally posted and got the error, I had set the text color for all the prices as green. Looking at the post in the BB code editor, it seemed this alone generated an awful lot of code. After changing the text color of the prices back to black, all that code went away, and I was able to add back everything I had earlier removed bit by bit when I was trying to figure out and eliminate the error. I don't know if that was the cause of the error (I'll try to replicate it when I close the thread), or if the database was just thrashing (? IANACSE) and somehow giving me a bogus error message, ultimately settling down just after I changed the text color. I don't know why lowering my pic number to ten (and removing a large section of text) let me get past the error message, but I was only able to add everything else after changing the color of that text. Weird.

If I get a chance to test it, and can replicate the error, I'll update this thread.
 
If you need to add more pictures, you can always use Imgur links too
 
I ended up posting a pic or two of each knife, and then links to Imgur albums with more pics if someone wanted to see more.
