For my 100th post I thought I'd share some pictures of a knife my wife got me for Christmas.

It's made by Dan Kendrick of Snohomish WA. The blade is out of 3/16" damascus (1084 & L6) by Jerome Wienand. The blade is 5 1/2" & the overall is 10 3/8". It has a nickle silver hilt & pins and snakewood handles. The sheath is heavy cowhide embossed with an alligator pattern. The display case is oak with tooled leather trim.

I enjoy looking at knife pics, I hope you enjoy these.

I have enjoyed learning more about knives and making new friends here on "THE" forum.

Thanks to all.

Pretty classy 100th post, and WOW that knife is gorgeous! No wonder you had a great Christmas!

In comparison that case is a far cry from the box I sent the McDonald knife in for your wife, you must have almost cried when you opened your present up? I'd keep that wife if I were you!

That sure is one sweet looking knife and congrats on being a senior now. I am still working towards that.

Dang, man! Your wife must love you more than my wife loves me!

Seriously, though, that's a beautiful blade and presentation/display box combination. Congratulations on what must have been a wonderful Christmas present.

If at first you don't succeed, go buy a knife.

A Most Excellent Blade, rkellogg! Thanks for sharing. I collect fixed blade hunters in the 3 to 5 inch range. Yours would fit right in. The twist pattern damascus looks really nice. Guard shape, blade shape, handle shape, and overall size are very good. I especially like the way the file work shows in lateral views of the knife. Where is the balance point? Are you gonna Use it? Or Look at it?

Thanks guys!
Paracelsus, the balance point is the first set of pins from the guard and this is just a looker.
