Just a quick note to say thank you and to celebrate my 100th post. Before I found this forum, I didn't know what a nice knife really was. Now, I'm into upper end productions and customs. Thanks to a lot of different people, I discovered knives I might not have ever heard of. Below is a photo of my current collection. It's still growing though.

OMG, I just drooled down my shirt. Striders, Terzuolas, Reeves, and Obies???!!! Did I get that right? Nice, nice, nice collection, and congrats on the posts.

Man, by my 100th post, I hope I have such a nice collection, but I seriously doubt it. Thanks for shareing.

I think to celebrate you should give me two knives from the left and one from the right. What the hell, make it two from the right too, this is a celebration, might as well go all out, right? :)

Congratulations on your 100th post and more so on your collection. it is turning out mighty fine, I'm sure knife giants and little newbies like me alike are both caught in awe.

I agree...looks like a Really Great collection. I have a lot of knives, but only one Strider (SnG), and one Sebbie. The rest are Microtech, Benchmade, CRKT, Spyderco, etc. I just can't afford to pay that much for more than a couple of knives...

Hmmm...but there is the Wayne Valcovich I got in the early 80's, and also some Z McCartys I got back then (lived in Atlanta at the time). Guess I can't really complain...although my wife sure does....LOL!!!

Thanks everyone for the nice words re. my collection. I thought it was time to share it with my online friends, and figured my century post would be a good time to do it.

Knife collecting is such a great activity. So much less restrictive than firearm collecting. Set yourself a budget, and try to stick with it  The thrill of the hunt is a large part of the fun for me. Also, showing restraint when need be is a good test of your will power.

Case in point- I just found a custom Emerson CQC5 that I would LOVE to add to my collection. The asking price is more than fair, and the condition is mint.
Problem is, I've already used my current "knife money" allotment for the next month or so. Now, I could easily disregard my allotment and just buy the damn thing, but I don't want to start down that road. So, I will have to pass
up this find and wait for the next opportunity.

Happy collecting,
John...
