I ran across this image of a 103 on an auction site recently and it appears to have less of that Nessmuk like hump. Illusion, or has there been a change?

Yes, the same belly. I noticed that the Nessmuk look started changing about 3 or 4 years ago. DM

I like it. A little classier looking than the original 103. I gave my Brother in law an old 103 that has been used on over 60 deer through the years. If it came home the 103 was used.

David that is a very stout looking knife. Looks like it could handle all the game cleaning chores with no problems. Nice work on that one.

Mak & STDK, thanks. It is stout. It has a blade of 3/16'' width, 440c steel that is 3 7/8" long. I have used it on several processing chores and I find it a joy to use. Using the heel of my hand I can push it through tough tendons. This is a good size for my usage. I had a field knife in mind when I was working it. For this it really hits the bulls eye. After I get the meat home and start breaking
it down, I'll go to a 6" boning knife. Just these 2 knives will carry you a long way. DM
